DOLOMITES SYMPHONY OF PHOTOGRAPHY

THE COLLECTIVE ART WORK

Four titles – Violet Towers, Sasslonch, Marmolata, Rosengarten – shape the work.

Four aerial photographs by Georg Tappeiner reveal archaic views of the mighty Dolomites. In interplay with them, four macro photographs by Ursula Stingel open a window into their smallest segments.

Two images – one of Georg Tappeiner’s monumental Dolomite landscapes and one of Ursula Stingel’s delicate macro shots – enter into a dialogue of perspectives. The archaic and the hidden meet.

Accompanying them is a musical homage to the Dolomites, the Pale Mountains, composed by Rachel Portman, inspired by these very images.

Here, sight and sound unite. Image, tone, and perception merge into an immersive, multi-layered, and sensuous total work of art.
