Equally compelling are the striking perspectives from which he approaches his subjects. A particular fascination arises from the breathtaking vantage points and views: as the photographer often approaches his motifs from the air, he secures—especially through his preference for panoramas and wide, elevated viewpoints—a distinctive position within contemporary landscape photography.
Such extraordinary, visually well‑balanced images require not only professional equipment and a high degree of experience, but also a sensitivity to atmosphere and an instinct for the right moment. I now look forward to weeks of stimulating exchanges, connections, and dialogues between these works and those of the Bayerisches Nationalmuseum.”
